Many people think that if their natural stone — marble, granite, travertine, slate, etc.— looks bad (i.e. a bad installation, dull, stained, scratched, chipped, cracked, uneven tiles) that they can either choose to live with it or they have to replace it.
When it comes to natural stone, nothing can be further from the truth. Natural stone can be restored to look brand new. Uneven surfaces can be ground flat. Breaks and chips can be repaired. Most stains and discolorations can be resolved. Dull uneven finishes can be polished or honed to a uniform consistency.
The stone finish itself can be changed from a high polished one to a honed or antique finish or vice versa. Stone and grout can be sealed to protect it…

Q: Can marble really be protected from etching?
Yes — but not with traditional sealers. Standard stone sealers help reduce staining, but they do not prevent etching caused by acidic substances like lemon juice, wine, or cleaners. DEZ Services offers RAKU, an advanced protective treatment specifically designed to resist both staining and etching on marble and other acid-sensitive stone.
Do you offer free estimates?
For the most part, our estimates are free of charge. In some instances, for example if the job site is further away than 25 miles, we may require an estimate fee. We will always inform you up front if there will be a fee.
Do you have any information for caring for natural stone?
We have a beautiful stone and tile care guide that you can download. You’ll find it on our Caring For It™ page. By the way, feel free to share it with your friends and family.
Do you offer stain removal services?
Yes, we do. However, we have found that in most cases you can remove the stains yourself with a little guidance from us. Check out our interactive Stain Management app.
