Restoring and Protecting a Calacatta Macchia Marble Countertop

Treating the Discoloration

Because some discoloration remained after the initial treatment, the stone was treated with poultices a second time to further draw out the discoloration.

Removing Etching

Once the discoloration had been addressed, the existing etching was removed from the marble surface.

Restoring the High-Gloss Finish

After the etching was removed, the Calacatta Macchia marble countertop was repolished to restore its high-gloss finish and bring back the clarity and visual character of the stone.
